Coronavirus Update: May 19th, 2020

This is the current mandate for the state of Minnesota regarding recreational camping .
We at Maiden Rock West will do our best to keep our campers as safe as is possible through this health, social and economic pandemic.

All public and private campgrounds remain closed to recreational camping under the current Executive Order 20-48, which extends through June 1st. No decisions have been made yet about recreational camping beyond that time frame. New information will be posted at https://www.dnr.state.mn.us/aboutdnr/covid-19-outdoor-recreation-guidelines.html as it becomes available.

[This order doesn't allow private or public campgrounds to reopen for recreational camping, only the use of dispersed camping. The state defines a dispersed campsite as "a single campsite, not in a developed campground, used for overnight camping." For remote, officials say that includes "designated backpack or watercraft campsite, not in a developed campground, used for overnight camping.]

Once recreational camping is open, Please be aware that we at MAIDEN ROCK WEST CAMPGROUND are requiring all recreational units have working toilets and showers or that someone in your group has one for your use.  The camp restrooms are closed .

Available to our campers only for an emergency use.  The pool restrooms also serve as our emergency shelter and WILL BE OPEN  ONLY FOR WEATHER RELATED SAFETY.

CLOSED for 2020 camping until further notice:   All primitive camping and any units that do not have working toilets and showers.
We apologize for this inconvenience, and for those who can not at this time camp with us we hope to see you soon, stay safe, stay well.    Sincerely,   The Meyers
